Job Description Conceive, develop and implement appropriate mechanical and optical measurement technologies an systems for ophthalmic medical devices(Intraocular lenses).
Specific Job Duties:
1.Coordinate the installation and qualification of new testing equipment
2.Interface with internal customers and external vendors to rapidly develop specifications and requirements for mechanical metrology equipment.
3.Interface with end users on training and maintenance of new test fixtures and equipment.
4.Generate Engineering reports on the optical and mechanical assessment of ophthalmic devices.
Qualifications Education: BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: At least 5 years in opto-mechanical testing of IOLs. Use of advanced methods in the set-up, calibration and measurement of IOLs. Minimum 2 years as a project team member or leader in medical device development.
Special Skills: Efficient in using non contact measurement techniques , Smartscope, Optical bench, inteferrometers, aberrometers,wavefront sensors, focometers, etc. Strong technical writing skills.
